Case Study: Custom Nurses Bag

Challenge: Challenge: The client is a home health care company with nurses that visit homes to assist people with their illnesses. The nurses have medical records, equipment and syringes that they need to carry with them. They need a bag that has a "clean side and a dirty side" to accommodate all their items: the “clean” side holds records, equipment & unused syringes; the “dirty” side carries the used syringes out of the home to be disposed of properly.

Since the company was unable to find a bag like this on the market, we met with a focus group of their nurses to design the perfect bag. After a number of renderings, we finalized the design, then sent it over to China to have a sample produced.

We revised the sample a few times before going into final production. They placed an initial order of 1000 units and have re-ordered 3 times in the past 4 years.
